Privacy Policy
Buckshot Outpost (the “Corporation”) is committed to protecting the personal information entrusted to it by users (“You” or the “User”) of our website, services, and promotional contests (collectively, the “Products”). This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) outlines how the Corporation collects, uses, stores, and discloses personal information, and is designed to prevent unauthorized access or misuse.
The Corporation adheres to the principles set out in the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). We are dedicated to maintaining a balance between protecting Users’ personal privacy and collecting information necessary for legitimate business purposes.
This Policy applies to all current and future Products offered by the Corporation. Unless otherwise specified, any new or updated Products will also be governed by this Policy. The Corporation reserves the right to update or amend this Policy from time to time.
By continuing to use the Products, You acknowledge and consent to the collection, use, storage, and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with this Policy. By using the Products, You also confirm that You are either:
(i) eighteen (18) years of age or older; or

The User is solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of information associated with their account, including passwords and access credentials. The Corporation shall not be held responsible for any loss, damage, or unauthorized access resulting from a User’s failure to safeguard their account information or for any other errors or omissions by the User in relation to their use of the Products.
2.4 Information Collected from Devices
The Corporation may also collect technical or analytical information directly from the device used to access the Products. This may include, but is not limited to:

2.5 Methods of Information Collection

3. Collection and Use of Information Related to Requests and Purchases
3.1 Information Collected at the Time of Request or Purchase
When a User submits a request or completes a purchase through the Products, the Corporation may collect certain personal and financial information, including, but not limited to:

This includes, but is not limited to, third-party payment processors and website hosting providers.
Personal information collected directly from the User’s device may also be utilized by the Corporation to enhance and optimize the Products, improve functionality and performance, and provide a more efficient and personalized User experience.
3.3 Third-Party Payment Processor – Stripe
The Corporation currently engages Stripe, Inc. (“Stripe”) as its third-party payment processor. When a User makes a purchase through the Products, all payment information is processed by Stripe in accordance with its own privacy policies and terms of use. The Corporation does not retain full credit card or bank account details once the transaction is completed. 3.4 Website Hosting Provider – Squarespace
The Corporation’s website is hosted and operated through Squarespace, Inc. (“Squarespace”). When a User accesses the Corporation’s website, certain data may be collected, processed, or stored by Squarespace in accordance with its own privacy policies and terms of use. Users are encouraged to review Squarespace’s privacy documentation available at https://www.squarespace.com.
3.5 Disclosure of Personal Information to Affiliates and Third Parties
The Corporation may share personal information with:

Entities affiliated or associated with the Corporation;

Third-party service providers, including but not limited to Stripe and Squarespace, that perform services on behalf of the Corporation or assist in the provision of the Products; and

The Corporation may also disclose personal information where such disclosure is required or authorized by law, regulation, or court order, or as necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Corporation, its Users, or the public.
4. Consent to Collection
4.1 User Consent
By creating an account with the Products or otherwise submitting personal information to the Corporation, the User hereby provides express consent to the collection, use, storage, and disclosure of their personal information in accordance with the terms and purposes outlined in this Policy.
Should the Corporation wish to collect, use, or disclose personal information for any purpose not specifically described herein, the Corporation will seek the User’s additional consent prior to such use or disclosure, except where otherwise permitted or required by law.
4.2 Withdrawal of Consent
Users may withdraw their consent to the collection, use, or disclosure of their personal information at any time by contacting the Corporation at buckshotoutpost@gmail.com, subject to applicable legal and contractual restrictions. Withdrawal of consent may limit the Corporation’s ability to provide certain Products or fulfill certain services where such personal information is necessary.

The Corporation recognizes the importance of maintaining the security of all personal information under its control. To that end, the Corporation has implemented and maintains appropriate technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect Users’ personal information from unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
The Corporation also ensures that personal information maintained in non-digital (offline) form is protected through comparable safeguards. All security measures are subject to periodic review and are updated as necessary to address emerging risks, technological changes, and applicable legal requirements.
6. Data Retention
The Corporation will retain Users’ personal information only for as long as is reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or as otherwise required by law.
Once the Corporation determines that such information is no longer required for business, legal, or regulatory purposes, it will securely destroy the records containing personal information or take reasonable steps to render the information permanently non-identifiable so that it can no longer be used to identify any individual.
7. Notification of Security Breaches
In the event that the Corporation becomes aware of a data breach that creates a real risk of significant harm to any individual whose personal information has been compromised, the Corporation will, as required by applicable law:

Notify the Information and Privacy Commissioner in accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act; and

Subject to the exceptions set out in PIPA, each User has the right to access their personal information under the Corporation’s control and to request correction of any inaccuracies.
Requests for access or correction must be submitted in writing to buckshotoutpost@gmail.com and should include sufficient details to allow the Corporation to identify the records at issue and the nature of the request. The Corporation will respond to such requests within a reasonable time frame, in accordance with applicable legislation.
